About the Location

Located on Maui, the Valley Isle, the second largest island in the Hawaiian Chain. Lokelani hugs the shore in the peaceful lee of the rugged West Maui Mountains. Maui has been voted the "Number 1 Travel Destination in the World" (5th year in a row) beating out San Francisco, Paris and Santorini, Greece to take the top spot. Maui was also voted the "Best Island in the World" (8th year in a row) in the annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards Poll - November 2001 issue of Conde Nast Traveler.

Close to Everything, and Yet Quiet

At Lokelani A205, you'll be conveniently located oceanfront and just minutes from the world-famous Kaanapali Beach to the south and the renowned world-class golf courses of Kapalua to the north. More championship golf courses are in the other direction to the south in Kaanapali. The historic, whaling village of Lahaina is only 5 miles away for nightlife, entertainment and dining.

- Beaches - Sandy beaches are both north and south of you, adjacent to the Lokelani property and accessed from Lokelani's beautifully manicured grounds.

- Shopping at Whaler's Village is only 3 miles away. The beachfront Whaler's Village shopping center includes Chanel, Christian Dior, Coach Store, Gucci, Louis Vitton, Salvatore Ferragamo and Tiffany stores as well as several restaurants and fast food outlets.

- Restaurants - Fine dining is available nearby. (How about Roy's Nicolina or Roy's Kahana Bar & Grill about a mile up the road at the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center?) If you're in the mood for casual dining, you'll find that nearby, too, at Outback Steakhouse, Fish and Game Brewing Co. & Rotisserie and the China Boat Seafood Restaurant. These restaurants are all within a couple miles of your Lokelani vacation condominium -- many more choices are nearby both to the north and to the south; within a 10-minute drive. A favorite for casual dining in Lahaina is Aloha Mixed Plate at 1285 Front Street. Offering outdoor oceanside dining, the New York Times described it as "Paper plate meets million dollar view".

- Fast Food - All within a couple miles of the Lokelani: Subway, McDonald's, Dollie's Café, Honokawai Okazuya & Deli.

- Farmer's Market - Two are within walking distance: Just head south on the main road (Lower Honoapiilani) and the first one is on your left. A little further down the road, you'll see the second Farmer's Market on your right (open Sunday through Thursday, until 3:30 pm).

- Grocery Stores - Star Market is a full-service grocery store about one mile from Lokelani (on the main road, Lower Honoapiilani). Further down that same road, on the way to Lahaina, is a Safeway store, in the same shopping center as Long's (Lahaina Cannery Mall).
